The Red Thread | Hillsboro Family Photographer
In Chinese & Japanese folklore, an invisible red thread is said to connect people destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread my stretch or tangle, but it never breaks. The adoption community has commonly used this term to describe the bond between a child and their adoptive parents. I love the idea that this thread extends to adoptive siblings, as well.
Baby E is the newest addition to the S family! At five months old, he is such a cutie pie. He had just perfected his ability to sit unassisted, but he still loves snuggles from Mommy & Daddy!
Middle child L has an infectious smile! A little camera shy at first, she quickly warmed up and flashed me her beautiful grin. And, a kiss for Mom, too!
Big brother C, on the other hand, was such a little ham! He is playful, sweet, and even a bit serious.
The S family found me through Red Thread Sessions, a group of photographers who provide complimentary sessions for families who have recently added to their family through adoption. They
The M Family | Hillsboro Family Photographer
I met up with Mark, Michelle, and their daughter Ruby in Orenco Station for a fun, fall family session. Ruby has lots of spunk and was so much fun to photograph! This family of three is very connected, and it really shows. Thanks for letting me photograph you, M family!

The K Family’s Lifestyle Session | Gresham Family Photograher
I met up with the K family at their home one chilly October morning to photograph their two beautiful children! Logan had just turned two, and Olivia had just reached 6 months! Exciting times in the K household!

Miss Sophia | Hillsboro Newborn Photographer
Here’s a little sneak peek for you! I got to spend my Saturday snuggling this twelve day old beauty, Miss Sophia Rose. What a beautiful name for such a sweet little girl!
Adalyn is One! | Hillsboro Family Photographer
I had such a wonderful time at this session! I met Karen a few years ago when she moved to Oregon and joined our toddler play group. Back then, it was just big sister Paisley–who is a few months younger than my older son. I was thrilled to take Adalyn’s newborn pictures last April, and it’s been so fun to watch her grow! And equally as fun to see Paisley become a big sister!
We met at Jenkin’s Estate and were blessed with beautiful weather that day! Unfortunately, it was quite chilly but Mom and Dad were on top of it, bringing jackets for the girls to wear between shots. I just loved Adalyn’s pretty pink dresses! It’s such a fun change from the t-shirts and jeans that my boys usually wear.
